What is a Biomarker?
A biomarker is an indicator of your body's physiological state. While biomarkers come in different flavors, here at InsideTracker, we most often refer to blood biomarkers. These markers are measured by analyzing the blood collected during a blood draw. Glucose, cholesterol, and iron are examples of common blood biomarkers you might recognize. Blood biomarkers tell you about the current state of your body as they change based on your diet, lifestyle, and state of health.

Users in your state are required to use our mobile phlebotomy option, called mobile blood draw. For an additional fee, a registered phlebotomist will travel to your home or office to draw blood. You will be asked to make this purchase when you activate your Category Test from your Orders page.

Understanding blood + DNA uploads
An InsideTracker Membership allows you to upload blood results from your doctor and other providers.
When you do, we'll analyze all of the biomarkers listed below. If your third-party blood test reports on biomarkers not included in our tests, those results will not be analyzed. Nor will they appear on your InsideTracker dashboard.
If you’re not sure what your existing blood test looks at, consider purchasing an Ultimate or Foundation blood test through us.
If you have DNA results from Ancestry.com or 23andMe, you can upload those for free as part of your membership.
